what time period is hogwarts legacy set in

I get that sociality developed differently for the wizard kind, but fashion?Īnd then according to Fantastic Beast movies in the 1920s they suddenly are on track with the non-magical fashion trends? I mean most of the clothing looked straight from the 1940s/50s! What bugged me about Hogwarts Legacy (other than the obvious controversies of course) is the lack of period accuracy in things like clothing, hairstyle, manners, etc. If they ever make a sequel to this game they should do it in this current/modern time period. The Golden Trio could’ve have been mentioned or even shown in the game kind of how WWE Games showcase their legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, DX, Kurt Angle, etc. That way whatever that happened in the Harry Potter book/movie timeline can be mentioned in game. If it were up for me, Hogwarts Legacy should’ve been set between 1999 (After the War) to 2023.

I mean no disrespect to different races or the LGBTQ community but it just doesn’t make sense to put those things in a completely differently era where those aren’t widely accepted. Stuff like that were extremely condemned. If this were irl it would have been a majorly white population at Hogwarts rather then having different races, genders, sexualies.

Unfortunately It was a very different time back then. It has a lot of things that fit in todays era but not in the 1800s.

What I’m trying to say is that it doesn’t make sense at all for Hogwarts Legacy to be in the 1800s realistically.
